Eligibility Intake Specialist Certification
This program, offered in partnership with Goodwill and the Department of Health & Human Services, prepares you for an entry-level role determining eligibility for public assistance programs.
With 20 new positions available in Forsyth County alone each year, earning this certification boosts your chances of getting a job!
Required Courses for Certification:
HRD 3003 - Intro to NC Fast Certification (6 hours)
This course gives you an opportunity to explore the career field for an eligibility intake specialist, needed job skills, job growth and pay expectations. This class will help students make an informed decision when evaluating whether this is the right career path for them.
HRD 4000 - Human Services Exploration: DSS Caseworker (45 hours)
This course covers skills and strategies designed to provide employability skills training and career exploration for the role of Income Maintenance Caseworker within Division of Social Service agencies.
HSE 3220 - Income Maintenance Caseworker – NC FAST (48 hours)
This course focuses on utilization of NC FAST application and case processes. Other topics include change of circumstance, recertification, data gathering and compiling, and data analysis.
